Get Out

Get Out

Get Out is a gym accountability app that helps you and your friends track workout check-ins. We believe in simplicity and transparency — here's how we handle your data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to make the app work:

  • Display name — The name you enter when you first open the app.
  • Device identifier — A randomly generated ID stored locally on your device to identify your account. This is not linked to your Apple ID or any personal information.
  • Gym check-in photos — Photos you upload as proof of your gym visit.
  • Group membership — Which groups you create or join.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Location data
  • Contacts or address book
  • Health or fitness data from Apple Health
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Analytics or tracking data

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to provide the core functionality of the app:

  • Displaying your name and check-in progress to members of your groups.
  • Storing your gym photos so group members can see your check-ins.
  • Tracking weekly check-in counts for the progress bars.

We do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.

4. Photo Storage

When you upload a gym check-in photo, it is stored in our cloud storage (hosted by Supabase). Photos are publicly accessible via a direct URL but are not indexed or searchable. Only members of your groups can see your photos through the app.

We verify that uploaded photos from your library were taken on the current day using EXIF metadata. Photos taken with the in-app camera are accepted without date verification.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database platform with servers in the United States. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not use end-to-end encryption for check-in photos.

Your device identifier is stored locally using UserDefaults and is not backed up to iCloud.

6. Data Retention

Your check-in photos and account data are retained as long as you use the app. If you delete the app from your device, your local device identifier is lost and you will no longer be able to access your account. Your data will remain on our servers.

If you would like your data deleted, contact us at the email below.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party service:

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

8. Children's Privacy

Get Out is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
